Prepping your home for sale in Florida is the greatest thing you can do to maximize your profit. As an agent with loads of sales under his belt, I can tell you the old adage, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression” is so true when it comes to selling Real Estate. When an agent comes into your home, the first thing after introductions will be to do a thorough walk thru of the property while taking notes and perhaps a picture or two. That information will be valuable as we have an honest conversation about what sells homes. It is important to disclose any defects someone is not readily able to see and try to have them taken care of. A Realtor should have a large cache of vendors willing to assist with carpentry, painting cleaning and much more. Once the Realtor and you agree upon listing the home, a marketing strategy and taking care of issues the home may have had, it is time to show your home. Prepping your home for sale in Florida is where you the seller can assist the most so each showing is flawless.
Follow these tips when preparing your home for sale:
- Stage each living area to help potential buyers imagine living in that space.
- Keep all rooms clean, including children’s rooms.
- Remove clutter and extra furniture to help the space feel clean and larger.
- Have a plan for your animals.
- Eliminate any unwanted odors with an essential oil diffusor or something similar.
- Consider a plan of where to go while home is being shown.
- Leave out some fresh baked cookies.
- Turn on some soothing music at low volume.
- Ask Realtor to prepare a list of attributes the home has in a frame so people can view when they first walk in.
